NEB members are getting media attention!

Take Your Turn in the Spotlight

In the last few months, many financial professionals have received media exposure for becoming members of the National Ethics Bureau. Members from California to Florida and places in between have been published in media outlets such as Los Angeles Business Journal, Chicago Sun-Times, Orange County Business Journal, and East Orlando Sun.  By publicizing their NEB membership, they increased the likelihood their clients will reward them with their trust—and their business.

Normally, getting PR coverage is hard work.  However, our members took advantage of NEB’s turnkey Member Media Campaign. They just filled out an easy questionnaire—and our affiliate AdvisorPR did the rest:

  1. Created a custom media list (up to 10 contacts).
  2. Distributed a press release on their behalf.
  3. Followed up with their target media.
  4. Provided a detailed publicity report.

By publicizing their NEB membership, our media-savvy members achieved these benefits:

  1. Enhanced community reputation
  2. Stronger competitive position
  3. More client trust
  4. Better client retention
  5. Ongoing exposure through article reprint

So now that you’re an NEB member, take advantage of your special status.  Step into the media spotlight by ordering an NEB Member Media Campaign today.  To get started, visit our order page or call NEB Member Services at (800) 282-1831.

NEB Member Media Campaign FAQ

What media will AdvisorPR target?
Print media outlets are the most appropriate.  AdvisorPR will gather all applicable print publications within your community/town/county, along with the names of appropriate media contacts to target with your custom release.

Can AdvisorPR guarantee a media placement?
There is no guarantee the media will publish your announcement. AdvisorPR can work aggressively on your behalf, however it cannot guarantee placement.  Situations beyond the control of AdvisorPR may occur, such as breaking national events that affect local media placements.  In the event this happens, AdvisorPR may suggest putting your campaign on hold until the media are more receptive.

How to Leverage Your Media Placements
You’ve made the paper.  Now what?  Leverage your placements through custom reprints.  When the story runs in your local media, get as many original copies as you can.  They will always come in handy down the line.  Also, contact the reprint department of the publication.  Order reprints of your article or business listing.  Share these reprints with your prospective clients and gain instant credibility and trust.

Will AdvisorPR provide me with a copy of my media placements?
AdvisorPR will not provide you with a hard copy of your media placements.  It will provide a detailed report of when targeted media will publish your release.

I’m securities licensed—will AdvisorPR get my broker-dealer to approve the media release?
It is your responsibility to obtain approval from your broker-dealer.  AdvisorPR will provide you with a copy of the media release prior to disbursement.  At that time, advisors with a securities license should seek approval from their broker-dealer and then grant permission to AdvisorPR for media disbursement.

What is the difference between advertising and public relations?
Advertising involves purchasing space in print publications or time slots for radio/television commercials.  Public relations is the process of obtaining media coverage in print, television, or radio.  One cannot purchase media coverage.  It can be obtained by announcing to the media an accomplishment or an award, offering knowledge as an expert resource, or though other unique, credible newsworthy stories.

What other services does AdvisorPR offer?
AdvisorPR.com is a full service marketing communications firm specializing in the financial services industry.  AdvisorPR can assist financial advisors with obtaining media placements, both through systematic media programs as well as custom media campaigns.  Additionally, AdvisorPR can assist financial services professionals with marketing communications materials and advertising campaigns.  To learn more about AdvisorPR, log onto www.AdvisorPR.com.
