NATIONAL VERIFICATION AGENCY ANNOUNCES NEW NAME & IMPROVED SERVICES |
|
SAN DIEGO, CA April 1, 2003 - The National Verification Agency today announced that it will officially operate as the National Ethics Bureau (NEB). This new name better communicates NEB services to consumers and further supports approved members by promoting trust and professionalism in the financial services arena. A new logo helps communicate a strong, positive image and the website has been re-designed for easier navigation.
New qualifications for membership have also been announced. In addition, NEB Members must now hold at least one of the following State regulated licenses: Life Insurance License, Securities License, or be a member of the State Bar Association and must have verification of meeting all Continuing Education requirements as mandated thereof.
"Now, more than ever, there is an increased need for the public to know who they can trust in the financial services industry," said Jeffrey Kopitz, NEB Chairman of the Board and Director of Research: 'because of having met high standards in the areas of ethics, licensing and education, NEB approved Insurance Agents, Stock Brokers and Estate Planners are recognized as financial advisors that can be trusted.'
It is expected that both consumers and financial advisors will benefit from these new improvements. "Consumers can simply check the status of a financial advisor by calling the NEB consumer hotline or by using the "member search" feature on the NEB website, remarks Steven McCarty, NEB National Director: 'this benefits the consumer by providing reassurance of the professional integrity of an NEB Approved Member. Financial advisors also appreciate this free service to consumers because it helps to promote trust throughout the financial services industry.'
New corporate offices and hotline are now operating in Southern California to further accommodate all NEB members.
