SAN DIEGO, CA, August 20, 2007—National Ethics Bureau (NEB) President Jeff Kopitz talked about professional ethics on Canadian radio station CKWW, AM580, which broadcasts to the Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan markets.
Kopitz, who appeared on the station’s “Money Matters” show, was interviewed by Brian Kurtz, of Assured Investment Planners, Inc., in Troy, Michigan. Kurtz, who’s also an NEB member, hosts the informative show about money, investments, and more every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Eastern Time.
Topics of discussion included NEB’s mission and history, its Ethics Check System™ (background check process), its Ethics Pledge, and its various consumer services. Also discussed were threats consumers face in the market, including fraud and identify theft.
“I was delighted to bring NEB’s ethics message to the station’s broadcast audience,” Kopitz said. Kurtz added, “I really value the information and services NEB provides to both financial professionals and consumers. I thought it was important to share this with my listeners to help them find an advisor with whom they can do business with confidence.”
