NEB to Accept
Real Estate and Accounting Members |

Effective December 1, 2007, the National Ethics Bureau (NEB) will accept members who are licensed as real estate agents, real estate brokers, mortgage brokers, and accountants. This initiative is designed to promote consumer confidence in these industries, as well as enable professionals to expand their practices.

Caution Urged in Wake of Latest FINRA Sweeps |

FINRA—the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority—is executing two new industry “sweeps” that suggest high standards of ethics and strict compliance are more important than ever.
The first sweep, announced in September 2007, is to examine whether brokers are using so-called "professional" designations to mislead and defraud investors. FINRA and state regulators are concerned about the growing number of professional designations, particularly those used to suggest special expertise providing financial advice and products to seniors, that don’t require meaningful knowledge or training. | Continued » |

Ask Terry Herron to talk about his business and he offers this one-liner: “Sales is not a story of numbers. It’s a number of stories.” That’s also true when it comes to Herron’s business career and his current occupation as a retirement planner and owner of New Frontier Financial in Centennial, Colorado.
